Informative, pleasant hour-long ride with informative guide. The only down side is that ALL the carriage companies do not know the exact route they are permitted to take until you have already paid and are under way.

Henry was a wonderful tour guide. His vast knowledge and enjoyable sense of humor was the highlight of our day. All employees weere friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed having our two puppies along on the ride. Our 4 month old Lab and year old Pomeranian were greeted with showers of love and much needed water.

listening to other guides , walking around we missed out on some of the other sites such as the battery and calhoun mansion but guide friendly and witty, and horses well looked after

Had a 30 minute wait, then sat in 'traffic' a line of carriages waiting for other carriages to return (the city only allowes a certain number of horses on the street at a time) for another ten minutes. Both our guide and our horse were a little smelly...I dont blame the horse, but it was an oderous hour. Guide had... More

Charleston city controls where the carriage can go by zone. We had a private tour for four which was extra. We only saw the sights from a distance except the old jail. We were very disappointed for the money.

What a wonderful company. We were treated so great, from parking and directed exactly where to park, and the lot attendents were so super friendly! Free parking for 4 hours if you book online and we also signed up and paid for the boat cruise too. A little savings if you do the boat cruise also. And the free parking... More

I would recommend this tour if you have 1 hour for a quick overview of the city. What you see depends on the route the city assigns your carriage when the tour begins. All of the companies are lined up together. If you don't mind 4 people in a seat and and possible crowd then save money and take group... More

Our carriage ride was very nice, and the tour guide did a great job. My only complaint is that we did not see all of the traditional Charleston sites. I expected to go by Rainbow Row, but we didn't . I think it is the luck of the draw for any carriage company you choose. The guide explained to us... More

Very well organized. Our first trip to Charleston, and we got a great tour of the area. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Loved it!

We were herded on and off the carraige like cattle. Little leg room and the ride was cramped. All carriage works are given a different route, based on a lottery system, so the city is not congested with too many carraiges in one place. The result is only a partial tour of the city. We saw more on foot.
