We can't imagine a guide more knowledgeable about Charleston than Ed Grimball. Our 2 hour walking tour lasted 3 hours and 15 minutes. If our legs had held out longer I think that Ed could have kept going and talking for about 5 more hours. Our tour was so interesting, and it seemed Ed knew a story about every major... more

Ed is a wonderful guide who teaches you about a beautiful city. We had great weather and enjoyed learning about the sites of Charleston. The tour is intended for adults. My 80 yr old grandparents enjoyed the tour, but the standing did eventually bother them. I would definitely recommend this tour to learn more about Charleston and hear its history... more

Ed's tour is fantastic! It's clear that Ed enjoys what he does. The tour isn't scripted at all and he really caters to his group. This tour is scheduled for 2 hours, but it's likely to run long. Give yourself some extra time and enjoy it. This tour is a great way to acquaint yourself with the city. more

We had the Charleston streets to ourselves the Sunday morning we took our walking tour with Ed. We found out more about the beauty, graciousness, and glory of Charleston in two plus hours, than we did the previous day seeking out sights. Ed hits on all the highlights, history, and fascination with the construction and personal stories of the buildings.... more

My wife and I visited Chareston for our anniversary weekend in late September. She chose Ed's tour based on good reviews here at Trip Advisor. I guess the best way to summarize it was that there were so many interesting questions and discussions in our group that the two-hour walking tour took three hours and ten minutes. It was a... more

We had a wonderful time on this tour! Ed is a very likable and engaging guy. You can tell he knows a lot about Charleston history and his delivery is relaxed and fun. I personally can have somewhat of a short attention span on tours but I found myself listening and learning the whole time, and time really flew by.... more

An unfortunate waste of time. It is true that Ed Grimball is a nice man and loves Charleston. He is friendly and willing to spend time with you and answer all of your questions. There were four of us who signed up for Mr. Grimball because of his #1 rating as a tour guide in Charleston. We took the tour... more

This was our first trip to Charleston and Ed's walking tour was just wonderful. He is someone who is passionate about Charleston and shares this passion with guests to his city. If there was one thing I would do again on our trip it is this tour. more

Ed's tour was the highlight of our first trip to Charleston. Sweet, talkative and funny, Ed proudly showed off his beloved city. I've probably taken 100 tours in my life in dozens of locations around the globe and this was one of the best. The pacing was just right. Ed spoke clearly and slowly and included his guests in the... more

Me and my boyfriend took Ed's tour on a Saturday morning the weekend of July 4th. We were looking to learn more about downtown Charleston and its history and architecture. Ed was great, he was very easy-going, interesting, and a great public speaker. I would definitely bring a camera and sneakers to walk in, as well as sunglasses and maybe... more
