We had our photo taken with a monkey and a baby tiger in August 2009. While it moves pretty quickly, the feeling you have while the animals are on your lap is priceless. We will cherish the photos always. It was interesting to learn about their philosophy and what they try to do to help animals around the world. Well... more

There is a hidden gem in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, that even many of the locals seem to not know about... A place which is home to over 100 wild animals including tigers, ligers, lions, lynx, leopards, cheetahs, lemur, gibbons, orangutans, chimpanzee, "Bubbles" the elephant, and so much more... This magical place is called T.I.G.E.R.S. (The Institute of Greatly Endangered... more

I took my 9-year old grandson on the tour at the T.I.G.E.R.S. preserve in Myrtle Beach (not to the Preservation Station location in North Myrtle Beach). It was one of the most awesome gifts I could ever have given him or myself. The other positive reviews all speak for themselves so I will not repeat their sentiments other than to... more

This is a rather unique experience. We went on the Wild Encounters Tour, which is a 3 hr. tour through the TIGERS multi-acre preserve. This is not the photo-taking thing they have at Barefoot Landing, but rather the very expensive hands-on experience that is advertised in many of the Myrtle Beach tourist guides. We paid almost $300 per person for... more

My husband and I did the tour together on May 28th, 2009. If you are a couple and you book together you will only get 1 free 8x10 but if you both both seperately you will each get a free 8x10. The tour is quite relaxed you get a lot of hads on time with the animals.Your most free time... more

My family and I have been visiting Preservation Station and the TIGERS Preserve for years now. In 2004 my family and I had our photo taken with a tiger cub named "Janaka" at the public display at Barefoot landing. Just this past week our family took our 5th tour at the preserve and saw Janaka chasing a specially made lure... more

We went on the tour on 4/9/09. It was by far the BEST animal encounter I have been on. We were at the preserve from about 9:15 until about 1:30. We got many hands on opportunities, from monkeys ,baby tigers , bintoroungs, to elephants. The trainers really seem to love and care for these amazing animal ambassadors. Be sure to... more

Now, this is better late than never. We did the Tigers Tour in September 2005. I just wanted to leave a positive review since it didn't have many reviews at all. Don't know how much has changed in three years, but it was well worth it. We took an expensive picture with baby tigers, and they offered the longer tour... more

I have seen some questions about this place but not very many reviews, so I will tell you of my family's experience at T.I.G.E.R.S. in Myrtle Beach. We went for the tour on 7-01-08. We got there around 9:00 and waited for the gate to be opened to let everyone inside. We were led inside and given instructions on what... more
