We love going to this museum and have gone several times! The kids love the glow in the dark rocks, the bendable sandstone, the agates, the crystals, etc - so neat to see! Not to mention all the dinosaur fossils and petrified wood! Very neat and worth your time! And it's free! more

Neat place to visit! Dinosaur fossils, petrified wood, replicas of huge size gold nuggets, glow in the dark minerals - lots of displays! Our favorite was the "flexible sandstone" - you turn a knob and it bends the sandstone but it doesn't break! And it was FREE to get in! more

I visited the Museum of Geology on the SDSM&T campus many times during the nine summers I worked as a seasonal ranger at Jewel Cave National Monument.
