Great exhibits and displays. Very informational. If we had to do it again, I think we would have gone through Rapid City first to see the museum so that we could apply what we saw to our Yellowstone and Grand Teton trips. more

We love going to this museum and have gone several times! The kids love the glow in the dark rocks, the bendable sandstone, the agates, the crystals, etc - so neat to see! Not to mention all the dinosaur fossils and petrified wood! Very neat and worth your time! And it's free! more

Neat place to visit! Dinosaur fossils, petrified wood, replicas of huge size gold nuggets, glow in the dark minerals - lots of displays! Our favorite was the "flexible sandstone" - you turn a knob and it bends the sandstone but it doesn't break! And it was FREE to get in! more
