Downtown Rapid City features a Presidential Sculpture Walk. The sculptures of presidents are staggered on the corners throughout the downtown area. Prior to starting your walk pick up the booklet containing information about each president and sculpture. It is very enjoying and you get a chance to see the variety of shops in downtown Rapid.

Downtown is clean with plenty of historic buildings, galleries, and other businesses to keep it interesting for a nice stroll. Perhaps the best part is the bronze statues of U.S. Presidents (four on each intersection).

There are more bars in downtown Rapid City than any other place we visited during our cross country trip. It seems that there are 3-4 at every intersection. There is little to recommend in Rapid City. It's a jumping off point for Mt. Rushmore, but I would not recommend it as a destination.

We were very surprised to find such a unique experience in downtown Rapid City. Every corner of the downtown area has a bronze statue of one of our Nation's presidents. The downtown area is lovely and worth a a few hours going down Main St. There is a great coffee shop at the end called Alternative Fuel

I would stay here again just to try some of the restaurants we missed out on. They need to bring a few more family friendly shops, but it's really got a lot going on.

A really amazing downtown! Lots to see, lots to do, places to sit and people watch - great entertainment - great shops - great eateries - great people!!
