We spent two nights at the Inn in early October. The rooms are pretty basic and a little musty, but they were clean and perfectly acceptable. We were on the first floor and the housekeeper did tell us the hallways were really dark before they installed new lighting. It wasn't too dark, although it was a little cold in the... more

Stayed three nights at the Montgomery Bell State Park Inn for a baseball tournament in Dickson, TN (15 min drive). The park is really lovely. Would be a great getaway for families who like to bike, fish, hike (you can inexpensively rent paddle boats and canoes).. The rooms in the Inn are basic- nothing fancy. Ate breakfast from the buffet... more

The room we had at the Inn was clean, but starting to show signs of aging. The view from almost all the rooms is excellent and the private porches allow time for viewing and relaxing. The buffet style food is the main feature of the restaurant, though one can order off the limited selection menu. Most buffet food is average,... more

On our trip from CT to TX we stopped at the Inn for 2 nights and played golf at the park course. As far as room decor, it's about nil - bare bones, but the private balcony and lake views from every room make up for it. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The breakfast buffet was good.... more

We stayed at the lodge for a weekend break. I was pretty happy with the lodge and the park as whole. But I do have to warn you that we didn't do much of anything, because that was the point of going. We did some hiking and let the kids play on one of the playgrounds. We did use the... more

I stayed in the Inn at Montgomery Bell State Park for business from July 24-26. It is a secluded spot and quite pleasant. The room and bathroom were very clean. I had a nice view of the lake from my 5th floor room. As stated by the previous review the hallways for the lower levels are quite cool. They are... more

Montgomery Bell State Park is one of Tennessee's best state parks, offering fishing, paddle boats, rental fishing boats, trails, a golf course, playgrounds and more. The lodge at the park is wonderful, with each room having a view of one of the lakes, and many with patio decks out back. Of all the parks I've stayed at, this one has... more

Just a few miles west of Nashville, this lovely state park proved a great find for our group, which included four golf enthusiasts! We were pleasantly surprised to find an 18 hole course, plus a lovely inn on a lake. We noticed there were hiking trails and cabins also available. The front desk staff were most congenial and helpful. Buffet... more
