If this is such an important part and location of battle, there should be better signage. It also was not kept up as well as it should have been. It is located in a different area from rest of battle sites, and it should be given a cleanup makeover without disturbing the integrity of the site. It was my first... More

The history is insignificant because the neighborhood is so bad. I wouldn trecommend a visitor to go here at all! drug infested adn crime ridden! dont go !

For Civil War buffs, this is where Grant, Thomas and Granger watched the attacks of Hooker against Lookout Mountain - the "Battle Above the Clouds" - and Sherman's stalled attack against Cleburne's division around the north end of Missionary Ridge, which is east of Civil War Chattanooga.
