This cave was the best ever. Before touring this cave we had went to Ruby Falls and Rock City and by far this cave kicked butt. The others were way over rated. The need to advertise this a lot more. Our tour guide was excellent and didn't rush through like Ruby Falls. This cave was also more real and not... more

This was our first cave tour, so I have nothing to compare it to. I'm not big on having tour guides and that's probably how most of these caves are. We just did the Crystal Cave tour, which was the basic tour about 45 min long. It was just our family of 4 on the tour. Our tour guide was... more

My wife and I went to the cavern really unsure of what to expect. It was fantastic. We did the "Waterfall Dome Tour" which is one of their WildCave tours with a guide. The tour lasted 3-4 hours and it was just the two of us and our guide. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and very chill and laid back.... more

I toured the cavern with 2 other adults and 3 children under the age of six. We were the only people in our group and essentially received a personal guided tour. Our guide was phenomenal. He had so much humor, personality and most of all knowledge. The cave is gorgeous and preserved so well. It is definitely easily accessible and... more

Caverns are really pretty and well-lit so that one can see all the formations. Somewhat on the low-end of tours as guides run. The tour about $13 for a 45 minute tour. Watch your head as you walk through. The trip into the caverns is not complete without a run-through the gift shop. Humorous to say the least. more

We have been traveling through Chattanooga a few times a year since forever, and never knew such a beautiful cavern was a couple of minutes off I-24. The famous kitschy sites of Chattanooga (you know who you are) cannot hold a candle to the natural beauty of this cave. My daughters were thrilled with its formations. I can see why... more

This is a great cave. The tour guide was young but a member of the family that runs the cave, IF I remember correctly. The cave was nice and had some great formations. ALTHOUGH missing that one big attraction inside it makes up for it with some cave life such as salemanders etc. and great untouched cave formations. This is... more

I have lived in the Chattanooga area for many years and had never been to Raccoon Mtn. Caverns. Recently, I finally paid the cave an overdue visit. The overall atmosphere of the place is that of an old road-side tourist trap. The entry complex is somewhat run-down and definitely shows its age. The price of admission for the easy walking... more
