Hit this place up after you visit the Homestead Tower Museum as its right down the road. It has a buffet restaurant (with a great outdoor eating area), a huge pool, cabins, recreational stuff, and some nice looking trails. Stop by the office and grab some brochures and maps.

This is a beautiful area has a free state park with good trails, pool and a great restaurant that serves buffet meals at lunch and dinner every day except Monday. This is a lovely peaceful state park. Do not miss walking across the suspension bridge.

The Cumberland Mtns are nowhere near like the Smoky Mtns. This is a lovely area with lots to see and do.

There are a lot of place in this area called Cumberland Mountain. If however you are referring to the State Park sharing this name, you will find it to be an enjoyable experience to do some day walks, driving tours and hiking.

Dont expect a lot of hiking I found three trails and all where super short. They say they have lots of trails and lots of land on the website and they may have lots of land but blink and you just missed it. I go out to the parks to get away from people not put me closer to them.... More

I live nearby so this park is accessible to me year round. A wonderful place for family gatherings or just to relax and unwind. Many miles of trails will allow you to explore the park. There is also a back country campsite for the more adventurous. Please keep this park clean.

Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter- this park is beautiful. From the awesome colors in the fall, spring and summer flowers blooming, or the christmas lights on the bridge in winter, you can't go wrong. The hiking trails are the best and the cabins are a fun place to stay instead of a local hotel.
