I have visited Loretta Lynn's Ranch twice with my family. I have never been able to stay there over night, but the time I did spend there was great. I took all of the tours and went through the museum. You need a lot of time to spend just for the museum in my opinion. I am also a very... more

Loretta Lynn's Ranch is a very beautiful place. Very nice, quite, & a great place for photography. The House is a Plantation home; & it's nice. We had planned to just visit the ranch and see the sights, but while browsing on Loretta’s website we discovered that you can stay on her old tour bus overnight. We took the home tour on Sunday 03/11/07. It is an amazing experience. You will visit a recreation of Mrs Lynn's childhood home and a recreation of a working coal mine. The tour guide was very helpful and answered all our questions. The tour of the home is incredible. I can't wait to go back !! more

Even if you're not a huge Loretta Lynn fan, if you've seen Coal Miner's Daughter (and who hasn't!), you'll enjoy this tour. The drive from Nashville to Hurricane Mills is a beautiful 90 minute drive and there are places to stop on the way. I stopped half way at a Cracker Barrell for some coffee and stretching.
