Worth the effort to get to one of the southern-most tips of Ireland and enjoy the sea views even on a rainy day! Interesting exhibition about the lighthouse. Cafe and shop as you enter the building. Car parking available.

It apparently cost €1,875,873 to build a bridge over to see a bunch of mannequins. What a lazy exhibition. If time, the sea and geology were not involved in this location it would have been ruined by the blandness of the efforts of the people who run and built it.

A well set out attraction. Good info on fast net lighthouse and history of Marconi. Spectacular scenery. For birders Choughs to be seen along with other nesting seabirds on cliffs nearby. Good cafe and shop.

What absolutely amazing scenery I am so glad we made the longish drive out here. We were lucky with the weather as in a terrible month for rain we had blue skies. Think it would have been disappointing if the visibility had not been so good. A good toasted sandwich in the cafe on the way back. Recommended visit.

Very nice day out, in the fresh air and with culture and history added.

This is a fantastic day out. not very well signposted as is the majority of irish attractions, they like you to find your own way around, so it means that you can discover other beautiful places along the way, and the countryside isn't polluted with advertising. There is a fantastic cafe at the visitors centre, and the lady that runs... More

The Mizen head is AMAZING!!!!! Do not doubt how stunning the place is, however the staff are horrible. I thought I was having a friendly chat with the waitress until she made too many sarcastic remarks and offensive observations about my visage. I wish I had found crookhaven round the corner first! The have an amazing bar there that serves... More

Unseasonal weather meant we could have a packed lunch whilst getting stared at by seagulls at Mizen head. The views are wonderful and it's great to see the light house. Well worth a trip.

Great spot to visit with lots of history, well laid out paths and view out to the Atlantic and along the coastline. If you can I'd recommend going on a good day with limited cloud cover. Often you will see whales, seals and great variety of birds. The coffee shop there is a great way to end the walk around.
