Just the drive to Mizen Head is worth it...along the sea and passing by the little seaside villages (don't miss Crookhaven). The visitor center is small...having active kids who like to do hands on activities, we rushed through it to walk on the path to the lighthouse. All of us stood still for awhile to watch the waves crash against... more

Mizen head is the most southern point of ireland, about 6 miles from Goleen in County Cork. A 6EU tickets allows you to walk down to the bridge and cross over to the headlight. Stroller access enabled with ramped access vs stairs. Beautiful views from the footbridge worth the cost of the ticket. The ligthhouse had a museum, a video... more
