I try to get out there a couple of times every summer! Beautiful and unspoilt. A great day out for a family. The beach is colder than the mainland but it's still beautiful. Bring a picnic - there's no shops or anything on the island.

Scenery like something out of Enid Blyton. Magnificent facility and heart-warming. Dalkey folk are lucky to have this magical place on their doorstep

Just located off Bullock Harbour and accessible via DART train.Fast and dangerous tidal race in the sound so be careful if you intend to cross via kayak or similar craft. Nice location.

You can also hire boats in Bulloch Harbour around the headland (if you know what you are doing). Bulloch Harbour can be reached by turning left off the Glenageary to Dalkey Road just before Bulloch Castle. Dalkey... More
