Inis Mor as a whole is absolutely wonderful and Dun Aengus steals your breath and sends it over the cliffs and down into the swirling, slamming waves below and you wouldn't want it any other way. We were there on a good weather day in that it wasn't raining and the temps were more than decent, in the middle of... More

Quite an amazing experience. My strong recommendation is that you spend a night on e island, so you get to see it before the ferry/busloads arrive from the mainland - seeing it with you and your own only around is a special experience.

Worth the walk. Amazing to see this ruined fortress and to spend time in the museum seeing the way people lived then. Wonderful views from the top.

Fabulous views from the top of the mountain, buy an explanation leaflet (50 cent) before you head up the mountain as there are no plaques/signs to explain the monument.

Here, you can literally look over the cliff and enjoy the heights, without a barrier. But while you're looking over the cliff, please don't stand upright, the wind can be quite strong, and if you lose your balance and fall over, there's really nothing to prevent you from falling. I guess why I liked Dun Aonghasa more than Cliff of... More

No other words to describe it. If you can deal with the uphill 20 minute or so walk to the fort, you won't be disappointed.

Very impressive site. Its a bit of a walk to get to, as are most sites on the island, but well worth it when you get there. The cliffs are spectacular. What would have been beneficial we felt on the day would have been a guide on site, not to give a full guided tour but maybe just to answer... More

It's a long walk uphill to this site, but it is amazing! The walk up is difficult, so wear good shoes and a walking stick helps if you have any mobility issues. They day we want, it drizzled by the time we came down, and it made the stone steps slippery, so we needed to be extremely careful. The fort... More
