We visited the Golden Hind on a visit to Brixham. It was a tad expensive at £4 per adult. We had a voucher for 10% off which helped a little. The ship is interesting to look around and learn how sailors lived whilst at sea. If it was a little cheaper, it would be better as it only took us... More

Had a lovely time walking around the Golden Hind. A bit pricy but the time we spent around the ship was worth every penny. Lots to read and lots to see. Great afternoon.

From the outside the ship looks small and like it will take about 5 minutes to go round but there is a lot to see and do below decks. Overall very interesting and worth a go.

Imagine going round the world in this little ship. Not quite as good as HMS Bounty, but that sunk in the Atlantic during Superstorm Sandy, so if you missed it you are out of luck, but not as much as the two people who drowned.

This is a tourist "trap" that has absolutely no historical integrity whatsoever. It claims to be a full size replica, but this is completely untrue. It is based on a steel barge and if anyone was crazy enough to take it to sea and hoist sails, it would capsize. It's predecessor was a converted fishing boat and sunk when it... More

We went on this ship during the October half term. From outside it didn't look all that to be honest, but it was raining, the kids were bored so we decided to part with our money and see what it was like. I'm glad we did, the ship was a lot more interesting than we thought it was going to... More

The Golden Hind is well worth a look round to gain an insight into a bygone era of world travel and expploration. Very informative plaques describing how life would have been for sailors in tudor times. The children loved the various hands on items to move about. Worth a look.
