It was out of season so quiet... A lovely coastal walk and the waves were huge! A kind of time warp with all the beach houses next door but the main event had to be eating at the cafe immediately next tot the light house. All meals great but I would really recommend the cream tea!!!!!!!
Lovely hotel.Nothing to dislike.the views were great,easy to get to.
we spent about an hour or two wondering along the cliffs and around the lighthouse. It seems to be a very popular destination for bird watching (dozens of spotters). The lighthouse itself has a small visitor centre and also you can go up the lighthouse (Sunday to Thursday) for a small fee. Bring change as it's a pay & display...

An interesting drive to the lighthouse takes you through the entire length of the peninsula. The site is interesting and well maintained. I would recommend at least two hours for your visit. There are three lighthouses on the site, the upper, the lower and the more recent operational light. The upper is on a private road and is not accessible...

Hard work walking to the top but worth it for the view & a chat with the lighthouse man at the top. Public toilets available in nearby carpark. A cafe called the Lobster pot serves food, ices & drinks nearby with lovely views but a bit pricey.
Unfortunately when we visited the lighthouse was closed for maintenance. We still enjoyed walking around even though it was a very blustery day and we felt like we might actually fall off the rocks into the water. Parents keep a tight grip of your younger kids - it looks like a very steep drop through jagged rocks. You can climb...
