Busy bustling place but with a sense of peace and history with it
It's a great place to visit and there are some lovely walks in the area around the castle that let you take in the whole harbour and see the area in it's natural beauty.
It's the perfect place for a great overall look at Stornaway & to watch the boats & people go by.
We went with Norwegian friends on a trip around the Highlands and Lewis. We walked around Lews Castle grounds ( see separate review) and I took some shots of the harbour.
