I had booked a tour in December, for a March trip. This was a mistake as we thought the trip was for December as the calendar days were same as March. Realizing this, we immediately emailed the next day and got the trip cancelled. It has been almost 3 months and we have not received out refund inspite of multiple calls and emails. No accountability whatsoever.

Unique and unforgettable trip! My girlfriend and I did the Skye tour in September, I would go back to Scotland just to relive that experience, Murdoch, the guide entertained us from start to finish, with anecdotes, jokes and much more. The only negative point is that it lasted too short! Congratulations for the organization!! And thanks for everything!

We took the Best of Skye Tour from Portree.
The driver arbitrarily decided to skip Neist Point as he claimed that there wasn't much to see due to the rain. Yet, the sky cleared, but we still had to spend a couple of hours in the same place, without much to do but visiting the Duvengan Castle (entrance ticket not included in the tour). No alternative was offered and there was no possibility to negotiate even a view of from the van.
Similarly, he decided not to stop at The Old Man of Storr, without saying anything.
When we contacted the customer centre to complain and ask for partial refund, they answered in a very unpolite, unprofessional and aggressive way, conveniently claiming some safety grounds for the driver's decision not to go to Neist Point, which yet were never mentioned by the driver himself during the tour.
Last but not least, the driver had an aggressive and extremely fast driving style (and we found also difficult to enjoy the landscape, because of that). And it would have actually been great to have a driver who also actually is a guide, and not someone who just says things like "ok, we are here, you can enjoy, have a walk, and some good coffee or whisky" and very little more.

Unfortunately, the reports of substandard upkeep of the minibuses are true. Entering a vehicle with a large crack across the windscrean was not auspicious. We tossed every curve and bump suggesting suspension issues. Nor did it help that I spied a low tyre pressure warning over the driver's shoulder on the dashboard. Then three hours before the tour was to end, there was a bang and our speed fell to 30 mph barely cresting hills. We limped back to Portree, and then the tour ended unceremoniously with a shrug and apology from the driver. Given the experience of other's, are these vehicles safe and road-worthy?

Aggressive/reckless. Practically run off the road from the Fairy Pools this morning so that they could tailgate the very next car and do the same to them. All to make it to the main road a couple hundred yards ahead of us. Put their patrons and others on the road at risk. It’s a road full of tourists — bullying your way down the road is never going to get you there much faster. And with your company name all over your vehicle…..

On Friday the 8th of September 2023, my tour with Tour Skye was cancelled due to mechanical issues with the bus. This was extremely disappointing, as it was my only opportunity to see the sights of Skye. I booked this tour back in March 2023. I travelled all the way from Australia to see the Isle of Skye. I understand that things can go wrong, but there was no back up plan. The driver reassured all of us that we would receive a refund.I have not yet received any correspondence from the company. No apology, nothing. I have sent an email, sent a text msg, tried ringing the number and even went looking for the office of Tour Skye in Inverness. No luck, even with 2 local ladies who work near there helping me.
Their Terms & Conditions clearly state that if they cancel, a full refund will be received. I paid $150 AUS and I would appreciate my hard earned money to be refunded. I booked in good faith and I would like that good faith to be reciprocated. Please!!

Admittedly the other reviews scared me before we went on the 1-day tour from Inverness to Skye .. thankfully we did the tour because is was so enjoyable!
The bus itself held 16 of us, was clean and comfortable.
We saw all the beautiful sites as promised.
The bus left on time in an easily accessible spot by the Cathedral.
But what made this tour great was our guide Murdoch! What an amazing tour guide that man was. His stories along the tour were entertaining, and his knowledge of what we saw along the way was plentiful.
We're a family of 3 with a 9yr old boy, we tend not to do tours on vacation and side to the adventurous activities, but this tour was worth doing, well at least worth doing with Murdoch.

❌❌Do Not Book This❌❌FRAUD❌❌
They'll charge you in different currency and when you check if there are any cancellation charges, they'll cancel your booking by deducting your money. They'll then abuse over emails with racist comments and speak very rudely if you try to call them and then stop picking up your calls. This is a fraud company and that's the only reason you'll always find they are available. My mistake was that I didn't read the other reviews about their pathetic customer service. Please save yourself.

I could give it a -1 if it was possible. The tour began on a great note but after the first spot (2.5 hours into journey), the bus broke down. The driver told us that there was no way the bus could be repaired so all were asked to go back to Inverness. So a few of us went ahead on our own to portree to atleast see something if we had come so far. Later the bus was repaired and the organisers did not even try to communicate with us that we can join them. And when we asked for our refund, the main organizer, Robert, told us to bugger off and made racist comments on us over phone. We even had to go down to the office listed on Google, but that turned out to be his accountants office, who tried to get us in touch with him, but he simply refused to talk. So basically, Robert, told us that it was our fault that we left the place where the bus broke down, even after the driver telling us that there is no way the bus can be repaired, that we were not patient enough being stranded in such a place. This was the only experience that we were looking forward to in Scotland, and Robert from Tour Skye just ruined it for us.

We've cancelled our entire 2 week Scotland trip the end of May due to the recent health concerns. Since your company doesn't provide a refund for cancellations, can you offer our tickets to someone else? It seems a waste to not have someone use them. Or do you not offer a voucher for future use? Thank you, Laura Woods
Hi Laura,
many thanks for your message.
Please email us your concerns. One of our team members will be pleased to follow up on this.
We look forward to hearing from you : )

Hello. I am wanting to book the tour for two people on 7 September but wondered what happens if our ship does not get into port, which I know from experience can happen. Would there be a refund as we have had with other providers. Many thanks. Sheila
Hi Sheila, many thanks for your message.
I am sorry to inform you that we are not running a Shore Excursion from Portree Port on 7th September and that we discourage our passengers from booking a regular tour of the Isle of Skye, as the nature of a Scheduled Tour is quite a bit different from any Shore Excursion (time restrictions in place and such).
We wish you the loveliest time here in Scotland :D

Does the Best of Skye trip return to Portree fairly promptly by 5:30? We have a ferry from Uig to Tarbert that departs at 6:30 (check in at 6:00) and I'm curious how feasible it would be to do the tour and arrive at Uig on time to not miss our ferry.
Hi Gennafiles, many thanks for getting in touch.
The Best of Skye Tour is indeed scheduled to return to Portree by 17.30. We cannot foresee delays on the day caused by poor weather or traffic congestions though... this doesn't happen often, but it may occur.
Perhaps you can ask the Tour Guide on the day to drop you off in Uig after visiting the Fairy Glen, and before adventuring to Quiraing, Kilt Rock and Old Man of Storr? Just a thought...

Hello is the a large coach tour or small van tour? We are looking at the cruise port in Invergordan in May
Hi Comst, thanks for getting in touch. The vehicle used depends entirely on the number of passengers on board on the day, and it could be be a small van, or a coach.
We look forward to meeting you this May!

Hi,
You were not with us (Tour Skye) but you were with SKYE TOURS and ALLY was your driver.
Two of our drivers speak fluent mother tongue Italian (Paola e Rob), so had you not understood they would have toured in 2 languages.
Please remove this review and put it in the right place.

What hotel are you looking to be picked up at?
Hope that helps.
