Reasonably nice gardens, a nice place to be in the sunshine, but the castle itself didn't have that much to see. There is some interesting very old photography of residents of St Kilda which are worth a look if you're there anyway but, as castles go, it wasn't overly exciting and was perhaps a little overpriced.

Really enjoyed the informative tour. Couldn't see many areas of the castle but those areas on display were staffed with friendly and informative people. Gardens around the outside are great to walk around.

It is a very nice castle and garden with some beautiful items including a claymore, many paintings and several antiques. The gardens are quite pretty and include several beautiful waterfalls.

Nice gardens. Picturesque location. Not good for less mobile as lots of slopes and steps. The castle interior is not good for the less mobile

We thought It was a bit expensive to get into the castle and gardens, but we enjoyed our visit. The best part was the seal boat trip which is a must - you get so close to the seals.

A unique and amazing location. The castle was interesting and the staff in the rooms will explain the history and will answer any questions. The gardens are a joy,the bluebells in the woodland garden were stunning. We spent a good couple of hours enjoying the grounds and taking in the views.

The castle is a must see. Not crowded and tons of history to peruse at your leisure. Take time to watch the short video. And don't miss the gardens! Also some great relics here from Bonnie Prince Charlie... For all the Outlander fans.

After having lunch in the restauraunt we went to see the gardens which were good even though the weather had been a bit cold recently. However for a party of 3 I though the overall cost for the day was a bit excessive and will make me think twice about going again. Overall though good to visit if you have... More
