Enjoyed all the different articles and seeing all the presentations. But can be kinda boring. And not a place to take children that get restless

Small collection from the owners of the Peabody. Fine for browsing, not worth a special trip.
Incredible amount of fabulous art in such a small area. I enjoyed the Asian part of the museum much more than the Jewish part. Much more Asian art than Jewish art, but the Jewish art was good, especially the photos. The size of some of the Asian art was breathtaking. This is a must visit in Memphis and so glad...

It is not a big museum, but collection where is really good, covers a lot of issues about Judaic History and Art and Asian Art as well.
This is a hidden asset that most Memphians don't even know about or have seen. This place is just beautiful. I happened onto it by chance one day just walking around. I'd heard of it but never really know just how to get there. If you go you will understand what I mean by that and just let me say...

A must see! This amazing collection is guaranteed to exceed your expectations. You could easily spend hours here. The fee is minimal ($5 or $6) and they do not allow photography in the galleries - trust me, you will be very tempted but they have security guards and security cameras. I would definitely visit again!
Not well known but has a magnificent private collection of Oriental (mostly Chinese) art and huge statuary of carved jade and other precious stones, now open to the public. One wing is devoted to Judaica art and artifacts... marvelous paintings and gold articles!
I have to admit that the name of this museum was not a big attraction to me. I am not really into art museums in general and I was not very interested in seeing another collection of Ming Dynasty vases but my better half dragged me in and I am glad that she did. This museum contains the most interesting...

We happened to pass this while walking around Memphis and decided to go in. We got in free because it was the Chinese New Year! It was amazing. My favorite thing we did in Memphis. The collection of Judaic art was interesting, but the Asian art was spectacular. We spent a little over an hour there, but I could have...

I believe this must be one of the best collections in Memphis. And what a pleasant surprise to find something like this in a basement of an office building.
My primary comment is that there is SO much that you are at servious risk of hitting overload. There must be 100's of pieces -- jade, ivory, you name it. There...
