If you like 70's Soul, this is the place to see. Well executed in a self guided tour. The 'school' next door is impressive as well. Highly recommend this look into the past.

If you love early rock and roll and R & B this is a must. If you don't love the music, you'll gain a new appreciation for it. This is one of those not-too-touristy tourist attractions that takes you behind the sscenes of an important part of American history.

This is a great place to learn about soul music and how the music industry was integrated long before the rest of the south. Loved Issac Hayes car the best.

Lots of amazing history. Surprizing that all the things you think you already knew that there was so much more to learn.

We lucked out by visiting on Stax to the Max Festival Day... bands, vendors, food trucks, etc... Really enjoyed the tour and the students of the Stax Academy performance was the highlight of our day!
