In Memphis in the summer time these poor horses are left in the heat for prolonged periods. The stables, are dirty and the drivers do not clean up after the horses on the street. Unfortunate that you pay for a ride and then have to step around the mess when on a walk. Sure, they have those poop catchers, but... more
The carriages line up right outside the downtown hotels in the evenings. The drivers are very friendly. You can pet the horses, and get a great tour. They do not have to follow a specific route if there is something special you want to see. They take you down main street which is a brick street which does not allow... more
