I visited recently and the coffee I was served tasted like dishwater - plus only lukewarm as it was served in a bowl like cup. I should have complained but I didn't have time.

I'm sorry you didn't like our coffee, we did discover a fault with our machine about that time and called the engineer to fix it. We've had no complaints since that I am aware of. It is a pity you didn't take it up with me at the time and we would have been very happy to resolve it.

Been there quite a few times with friends, family and on my own. Warm welcome everytime. Real pub. Great beers & ciders. Loads of activities put on by the staff from walks, welsh classes, pub quizzes and support of local charities. An absolute pleasure to visit to witness the management taking pride and delight in offering a fabulous community resource.
I live in Alice Springs in Central Australia, and when I think about things that could tempt me home, the Bluebell is top of that list (sorry to members of my family). It has an excellent variety of real ales and cider, roaring fires, superb walks, a real community feel and owners who really care about what they do and...

We are from the US only visited the Blue Bell once during our stay. We'll change that next time we come over. Wonderful atmosphere, nice people can't wait to come back.
For a start no dislikes, quite easy to find off the A55 Halkyn turn off, typical what a pub should be. Personally I Iike my guest beers and the Blue Bell always has a good selection. The landlord and the locals always provide a good welcome what more do you need.
The Blue Bell is really entrepreneurial with regular activities, events and music and a tremendous selection or real ales and ciders. As a result it has bags of character and is a real experience. They do lovely hot and cold pub snacks especially the local meat stews which are great after a walk across Halkyn mountain. This is a pub...

Many people try to be different but the Bluebell is. An old fashioned pub with good service and great beers and ciders - even have their own. They offer loads of different events including free walks around the Halkyn Mountain but we went on a Sunday afternoon to listen to the Jazz which was fantastic. Good atmosphere. Only do a...

Thank you for your warm words Sam.
It is true that we don't major on meals but I would like to point out something you appear to have missed, we do cook good, wholesome and for the most part home-made full meals at weekend and bank holiday lunchtimes.
You can of course have a Wrights Pie any time!

Check this place out, it hasn't been refurbed to death, and has held on to its integrity and culture. Roaring fire, Real Ale and live music. The staff were very nice too. I'll be back! Arny I mean Shelly
