The RSPB, Cerismar Two Puffin Island Wildlife Cruises offer bird enthusiasts a close up view of the bird life on Puffin Island, just off the coast of Anglesey. RSPB representatives and crew members point out the various birds throughout the cruise. These special cruises run on certain days throughout the spring/summer season, check online for the up to date schedule. On the website link above.Cerismar Two also run Puffin Island Pleasure Cruises daily (weather permitting) throughout the spring/summer season. The cruise last just over one hour and cruises the Menai Straits. There is a live commentary during the cruise which points out places of interest, birds, wildlife and history of Puffin Island.

It looked like a nice trip and seemed like a reasonable price at 8 pounds per person, but they canceled the boat we were supposed to take out. Don't make a special trip out expecting the tour to go without calling first to confirm.

This trip was a great opportunity to see wildlife, we soon caught sight of porpoises, seals and puffins as well as countless other seabirds, and that was without binoculors. Our baby seemed to enjoy it although the young preschoolers on board soon fell asleep! The staff were great and informative. Probably not ideal if you have mobility problems though.
