Been coming to Barwon Heads for years have just visited wildlife sanctuary was so surprised really enjoyed it can get so close to our native animals a real hidden gem can highly recommend to anyone who loves animals .Kids will adore it.Will return next year.
We enjoyed our trip to Jirrahlinga (we received a voucher for a recent b'day). Lots of friendly staff and they do a lot of good work with the rehab of animals and taking in birds etc.
... however we took our friends from Spain there with the idea they would see and even have a opportunity to pet a koala....

As an animal lover, this place is AMAZING! It's a rescue and rehabilitation centre for Australian wildlife. (I believe it's a popular place for school excursions, so if you'd like to experience the place in its natural serenity, I'd ring ahead for any dates with no excursion bookings.)
