- Stephanie PWilmington, North Carolina14 contributionsMake sure to visit!!Why would you come all the way to Nashville and not visit the Country Music Hall of Fame!? This place is loaded with amazing memorabilia from the stars that are no longer with us to ones that are currently rocking the charts. My tweens had a great visit here too! The gift shop was pricey but LOTS of selections to choose from. They even have a few cars inside the museum. My favorite part is the hall of fame plaques ❤️Visited March 2023Travelled with familyWritten 20 March 2023
- S CBoston, Massachusetts21 contributionsInteresting overview of Country MusicEven if you don’t like or listen to country music the CMHF is a great overview of the history of this genre. The wall of gold and platinum records is really cool. We only had time for the main museum; there are add on admissions to the recording studio et al. The museum gets busy so get tix online and arrive at the first early morning time slot.Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 March 2023
- Marie GTemecula, California237 contributionsEven if you are not big into country musicIt may seem odd to recommend the country music hall of fame if you are not big into country music. The Hall of fame is just the right size to get through easily. You may be surprised by how much you actually know about the various musicians. I especially liked the information about the older country singers.Visited March 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 25 March 2023
- TAP647Chicago, Illinois500 contributionsGreat layout, easy to enjoy and learn about country music.Well designed with a nice layout that covers a lot of ground. Fun to see the costumes and learn about the musicians. The special exhibits are done really well. There is so much to see, so go at your own pace. There is a nice taco restaurant to get a bite to eat, beyond the coffee shop near the main entrance. Overall, the museum is well done and a fun way to spend half a day.Visited March 2023Travelled with familyWritten 28 March 2023
- jlormeauWestfield Center, Ohio193 contributionsWorth a half day! This museum was a lot of fun. The displays take the visitor on a walk through the history of country music. There were many great artifiacts, movies, and music videos. We spent about 2.5 hours there. Even my 18 year-old daughter, not a big fan of country music, enjoyed the visit ,thanks to the exhibits pertaining to Elvis and Taylor Swift.Visited March 2023Written 30 March 2023
- DLRBMRPittsburgh, Pennsylvania10 contributionsGreat history of country music and more. This was a great museum. We were there for about 1.5 hours and could have stayed longer. We still got the highlights, though. Don't miss out on the Studio B tour. It was well worth the money to sit at the piano where Elvis played, and to hear the history of recordings in Nashville.Visited March 2023Written 1 April 2023
- The007Traveler97 contributionsA must do for any country music fan visiting Nashville.Great experience. The museum walks you through the early origins of bluegrass and country music and explains how it has changed over the years to become what it is today. So much memorabilia to see and read about. This makes you appreciate the artists so much more. Make sure you give yourself about three hours and pay the extra $5 for the audio tour, it brings the exhibits to life and adds so much more detail and insight.Visited March 2023Written 3 April 2023
- Ann LSan Ramon, California3 contributionsIf you love country music then this is a must see when you are in NashvilleThis museum was really interesting and a lot of fun. The displays were well done and there were lots of videos showcasing different artists and their contribution to country music. They had a really interesting display about Chris Stapleton. Don't miss this museum when you are in Music City. Just a note...we got the audio sets and they were not worth it, didn't need them.Visited April 2023Written 5 April 2023
- Reinke516Detroit, Michigan51 contributionsCrowded but still worth itWe had timed tickets on a Monday and it was still very crowded and a little claustrophobic particularly on the top floor. Once we got into the second floor things opened up a lot and it was easier to look around and be able to read the displays. I loved the hall at the end. It really gives you an idea just how exclusive it is.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 April 2023
- TerrasTravelsLas Vegas, Nevada459 contributionsCmhofThis place is so cool! I think I spent about 4-5 hours in here! But you could easily spend all day long! I have actually been here twice now. Definitely when you go do the two extra experiences as well. The studio B and the print Tour. All very interesting and really cool and fun! All of the guides are amazing! They’re really helpful at the front desk as well if you have any questions. And you can take your time going to the museum as it is self paced. They have memorabilia from artists like Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Shania Twain, etc. Taylor Swifts Tour bus was in there when I went. Super fun and I would go again!Visited May 2022Travelled soloWritten 8 April 2023

Wear comfy shoes, bring a phone to take photos, theres a range of things in there i didnt expect to see such as cars, a big taylor swift bus, giant guitar to take photos by,
It's a fair bit of walking so wear comfy shoes, I booked the studio B tour too as it was only an extra $20 dollars to do and they take you out on a bus to see the studio which was cool - the tour guide Brenda? (i think that was her name) was brilliant, lots of cool facts and a bit of humour too
I went solo and it was a good activity and very central to broadway - right across the road is the walk of fame too so catch that on the way out!

A worthwhile visit! It took us just over 3 hours to go through the museum (using the audio guide). Very crowded but they do timed entry so be sure to call for your reservation time if booking through third party sites like trip advisor.

We could have spent a couple of more hours here but it was closing. There are three floors of exhibits and it is exceptional. Go early so you can spend a lot of time. It is well-worth the price of admission. The gift shop was nice too.

Nice put together museum. There was some construction going on but it didn’t bother us. You can go through the years of country music. Even has some rock and other genres represented. Great for kids to learn. The day we went you could check out different instruments which the kids loved trying out. Worth a visit if in town.

When I went to the CMH I was blown away by how fascinating it was. I never have listen to country music before because of where I’m from and my heritage but a few of my friends suggested we should go and man I now love country music. It covers almost all famous country music singers in history. Briefly introduced them and also displayed their stage dresses and instruments. There is even a recording section to let you play around. A nice place for all ages and families. I had a good time here. Recommended!!

It took us a good four hours, and we skipped some of the more modern artists. This is an amazing museum, highly recommended.
From the roots of old time and bluegrass through the influence of radio, then TV, to the LA-based country rock revolution, and on to the present day. My mind was blown by so many genres that can trace their influence to country. The Eagles? Country. Crosby, Stills & Mash? Country.
My companion and I got a giggle out of riffing on everything that we now hear with fresh ears as having a country heart. Dubstep? Country. Reggae? Country. Hip hop? That’s country. Mozart? Early country. EDM? Total country.
Don’t miss it. Even if you think you don’t know much about country music, you will find something to marvel at. And I guarantee you’ll recognize a good many songs and artists.

You don't have to be a country music fan to love this museum. The journey through the museum tells the history of country music up to the present day. Lots of interactive exhibits. Fantastic displays tell the stories of country music legends as well as the linkage between country music, folk music and rock. Guitars, clothing, cars, song lyrics, and platinum records over decades are on display. Plan to stay 2-3 hours

My niece really wanted to visit on our trip to Nashville.....I probably would not have gone on my own. When buying the ticket we were given the option to add the Studio B for for a total cost around $52USD. A bus took us to studio B and this was the best part of the tour. The guide, Roy, was so informative and very passionate about the music and topics....he is what made it really great.
Then back at the museum we did a self guided walking tour of the 3 floors. My niece loved this but I'm not really a museum person so I didn't enjoy it much. The halls are big and have some video and interactive elements. The museum is clean and well maintained. There are washrooms on each level and a small snack/drink shop on the main floor and a gift shop on the main floor.

We have timed tickets for 9am Friday. Just found out we have a quick work gathering at the same time. Can we enter at 10am instead of 9am?

Do we need to make reservations before we go or can you just walk up and pay same day admission?? I know a lot has changed since Covid. Are they limiting visitors per day?

We purchased in advance to make it easier to plan our days. However, if you wish, you can stand in line to purchase on site. Just make sure you have enough time to go through the entire museum.

I'm been to the country music hall of fame, this summer I'm visiting Nashville with my 2 teenagers, they wont be interested in the museum but they would enjoy the RCA portion. What I can gather I have to buy the museum tickets and not just the RCA. Is this correct?

Strongly suggest you call them. It is a small, tightly packed venue and it would not surprise me if navigating a wheelchair would be difficult. but since accommodations are often made, strongly suggest calling them.

I use a small battery scooter. I definitely need to use it to visit the country music hall of fame. I hope this is possible. I am spending 3 days in Nashville, and would love to visit the sights as best I can. Can I use my scooter? Thanks Denise
