Fantastic, historic plantation. The grounds are very interesting and the mansion is beautiful. The guides were great, and it's all capped off with a wine tasting. The wines were just OK, but it's really cool that it's a non-profit winery, with proceeds going to the upkeep of this historic plantation. Overall, a great way to spend a couple of hours... More

Interesting to see how the other half lived. Can't say whether it was good value as my admission was prepaid and I have no idea of the charge. Free wine tasting - all very sweet

Loved that we were met by someone at the door in time-period costume. She was very knowledgeable and personable. The home has been beautifully maintained. We ate at the cafe and it was wonderful and finished in the winery...with samples which were very good!

We enjoyed our visit to this plantation and glad that it is being preserved for future generations to see. It showed us how well-to-do folks in the south lived and how the Civil War affected thier lives. The only complaint I, and other members in our group, have is the inability to take pictures inside even without flash.

Pork sliders with three different sauces, fried green tomato pannini, a turkey Reuben and the fried oysters were washed down with our first Pimm's cocktail, ever!! (Pimm's liqueur, ginger ale, lemon and cucumber slices! Everything on the table was memorable, but the wait staff seemed to be in need of a few more waitresses.

Bring your walking shoes. The house itself is amazingly restored. Worth the trip.

Plantation home was facinating, tour guide excellent! Of all things, the carriage collection was outstanding - really interesting and I am not normally into that kind of stuff! It gave backbone to view the home and understand how people lived back in the day. I would recommend it to everyone!! I also found it interesting that the home layout if... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Belle Meade with Margaret, our tour guide. Her seamless transition between 1st and 3rd person to describe the Belle Meade generations added to the experience. Enjoy the furnishings, antiques, and culture of the period. The grounds are well maintained, the slave quarters and first Harding home along with the carriage house bring it all together.... More

I don't know what all the complaints are about... we enjoyed touring the house..Since I am interesting in the family that lived there. We were too late for the gardens..still a nice walk.
