We wanted to tour the Capitol but could not find a place to park! In what is a mostly charming and very easy-to-maneuver city, this was surprising. And frustrating! The exterior is quite beautiful and stately so we hope to return and do it someday! more
If you are a history buff like I am, then the Tennessee State Capitol is a must see. It sit high on a hill in downtown Nashville, so if you visit during the week, parking will be a problem, but I visited on a Saturday and was able to Park near the Centenniel Mall and take in both the Very... more
The Tennessee state capitol is a beautiful building that has the distinction of being one of the very few state capitol buildings without a dome. Tennessee has a grand, proud history and much of it can be seen in the artwork in the capitol and in the statues on the capitol grounds (Andrew Jackson, Sgt. Alvin C. York, etc). Just... more
