This riding stable is a bit out of the way but well worth the drive. They do not have brochures all over the area ( I saw a bright yellow flyer at only one place ) but have a web site that gives rates and discount coupons and ride specifications. This place is just run well. Make a reservation and show up 15 minutes early or you may miss your trail ride (we almost did)...The stable holds 85 horses but did not stink, the guide was happy to help but not intrusive and the horse was well cared for ...not sweaty though it was 97 degrees at noon and I... more

I very much enjoyed riding at Walden Creek Stables! The horses were not automated like they are everywhere else. If you wanted to stop and re-adjust a stirrup or something they actually would instead of just following each other like robots (like at one place with Angel or Heaven in the name, I can't remember it exactly).
