The Blanco is cool but not cold. The only drawback is the dogs couldn't swim. Rangers were nice about the rules and we enjoyed dipping n the water after a long bike ride

Their birding blind is great! You can see a wide variety of birds at this nice little spot.

This park is right in the middle of town, and 281 runs right through it, but once you're in the park, it's just such a peaceful ambience, that it's easy to forget all that. The park is very small, but that is an advantage in this case; its size lends a sense of coziness and security that helps you to... More

This place was very well kept not a huge place, there where people tubing but not to far out,, there were plenty of people fishing and swimming up and down the river, they have a little pool that fills with river water for the little ones, or people afraid of the river even though the river flows through it, we... We stayed here during spring break nice get away close to town if u need to grab something. It's a busy park on weekends for day use but was calm in the evening. Bring your fishing pole and some floats. Camp site and bathrooms were clean. Try and get a site in the outside ring otherwise you have neighbors on... More

We enjoyed ourselves fishing for perch and relaxing in the shade along side the river right in town. There is a nice pavilion for get-togethers and a lot of room for the kids to play.

I made it into beautiful Blanco yesterday via Ft. Stockton, after a swell EZ 4 day trip from LA. I got up early Thursday to make the drive, my plan: get one of the 2 shelters I had wanted right on the water;) # 42, Got it! Jay, the park head honcho, and sweet Ann, his trusty assistant were there... More
