Listen to the birds, watch the turtles, walk quietly through the open fields. Butterflies, wild flowers, and a peaceful setting awake you just on the outskirts of Boerne.

CBN has a creek and a marsh. The creek is low and slow moving, perfect for toddlers to play in. The marsh offers a totally different experience. You can hear and see the bullfrogs and other marsh residents. It is a perfect place to spend some time with the family to have fun and learn about nature.

Natural surface trails through woodlands, prairie, marsh, and riparian areas. Peaceful walking and a great place to bring your dog. There is no fee to enjoy the trails. Walking along Cibolo Creek is relaxing and scenic. Bring a camera. Boerne city trails connect CNC to paths to River Road Park and the Old #9 Hike and Bike Trail. Birds abound... More

There is also a small museum at the Nature Center--bones from various wildlife, facts about birds, etc. A nice place to walk. The museum is small... More

These people know what they are doing when it comes to preserving the Texas Hill Country flora and fauna. Easy hiking and awesome birds and plants! I get the feeling that they love visitors here but they do not desire busloads of tourists trampling the grounds.
