This is a great tour for families with kids and for us seniors as well. It was a fascinating tour..long enough but not too long. The scoop of Blue Bell at the end was worth the trip. Took a very interesting factory tour and had a very good time. The tour even includes a sample of their ice cream! How can you beat that?? This would be a great tour for kids, though the tour I was on was a bit crowded, and that was on a Tuesday afternoon. I can't imagine how busy it would be... more
Took the family to tour Brenham's Blue Bell Ice cream factory today. $3.00 for adults and $0 for kids under 6 AND you get a free scoop??!?! Wow, what a deal. FYI No camera's or phones allowed. First you step into the lobby/gift shop, and you pay for the tour. They give you wooden "coins" to pay for the tour.... more
Bought the new flavor Chocolate Cherry Pecan and was very disappointed in the texture of the ice cream. Blue Bell has always been a creamy ice cream, but this flavor had a very gritty texture. I beleive there might have been a small problem when mixing this ice cream. The flavor was excellent, but the texture needs ALOT of work.... more
