With two double boat ramps and a protected cove Comal Park makes a great place for me to putter around in my sailboat. Its a decent park, If you get there early. (At 7:00 am) The restrooms were overflowing and very dirty. Not enough tables and bbq pits. Plenty of room to put more. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon about 2:30pm and paid $4.00 vehicle entry fee. Park then closed to additional vehicle entry . Walked 3/4 mile to beach area. No shade at beach area. we visited comal park last minute it was very packed no parking which was a little frustrating but the view the lake the area is beautiful we had a wonderful time and very inexpensive looks like we found a new location to relax and enjoy we will visit labor day weekend

This place is beautiful. Aqua colored water, nice and cool. Plenty of people boat and jet ski here, but they also have an area roped off for swimming on a pink pebble beach.
