Pretty park but bathrooms in camping area were awful, not kept clean. No soap available to wash hands which was crazy considering you pay $25 for each night camping and $5 per adult per day for entry fee. No trash bins in bathrooms. Really hoped to like this place because we like to support state campgrounds but we will not... More

You'd think a marina combined with a small lakeside park would be a bad combination (swimmers vs. boaters?). Actually, it is a wonderfully under-controlled and neat tree-lined breezy beach just moments away from anywhere in DFW! We have held birthdays there with family swimming all over the place, toddlers included; there's a nice sandy and clean beach, shallow waters for... More

Very nice for a nearly urban area. Trails need work.

The campgrounds and restrooms are clean, if you are going for the weekend get their eairly as the good spots fill up quickly. The store is small and could use more stuff, but lots of shopping is only a couple of miles down the road. Amazing sunsets so plan accordingly...bring your camera.

The people that we have met here are FANTASTIC. The fishing spots don't usually yeild many fish, the campsites are very diverse. Some in woods, some in the open on a hill and others along the water. The only problem we had with camping was the ants. We always enjoy ourselves when we go to Cedar Hill State Park.

This park has great facilities, a nice beach and the camp grounds are well maintained and clean (even the showers and bathrooms). The small store has some supplies but not enough, WalMart is just a couple miles South. The park allows Disabled Veterans with proper documentation in at no cost. The beach has several picnic benches with grills but get... More

I hear great things about camping, I haven't tried it but I would say go for it.

Nice lake, not too far from Walmart when you found you've forgotten something. Easy access, but away from it all--up near all those cell towers south of Dallas, but not so close that you see them from campsites. Electric poles on boxes, and lots of different elevations for sites. Nice trails, lots of great walks, and wonderful wild blackberries (they... More

My in laws love to travel in their trailer and have parked at Cedar Hill State Park a few times. Back in March, they stayed there and we had several occasions where we needed to go into the park and pick them up for meals, outings, etc. It seems that they are not very trustworthy of in/out customers as they...
