if you are in Dallas, you must visit this park. a great city (urban) plan. Jane's lane is great. the child play area unbelievable. and at lunch time yammie.
My husband and I enjoyed time at this park early in the morning. The food trucks weren't set up yet but we still had a great time. The park wasn't busy so we got on the playground equipment which was well built and super-fun. This is a great park for anyone and especially family with kids.
A most welcoming oasis in the middle of --- er, on top of -- a highway. This park in and of itself is worth the destination: restaurant, pavilion, food trucks, little kids' playground, croquet, putt-putt, et al. But, it is also a stepping stone's throw away from the DMA, Nasher, Perot museums; the Arts District; the World Aquarium and other... More
Smack dab in the middle of Dallas skyscrapers and on top of a highway, Klyde Warren Park IS the heart of the city. Not only in location, as it is within a few walkable blocks of the World Aquarium, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, and arts district ( including Winspear Opera house, Wyly Theater center, Nasher Sculpture Center, Morton... This park has anything that you would want. Food trucks, games, dog park, restaurants, playground, fountains, lots of green space to picnic. Hard to find parking in the area on weekends, but otherwise it's a great place to visit.
LOVE this park!!!! It has transformed and linked Uptown and Downtown Dallas allowing you to walk in between or simply enjoy the park, and rotating food trucks. There are stands with newspapers and magazines to read, game stations with chess, checkers and golf clubs for the putt putt green to name a few. A dog park and a kids park... More
It's built between bridges over the highway, but you only know that if you look off the end. Otherwise it's a very nice park in the middle of downtown. Lots of food vendor trucks park there, there's a cafe/restaurant, a playground, ping pong and other stuff to do. It's a really nice place to sit and enjoy a beautiful day.
We so enjoyed our stroll through the park on a late November afternoon. Hundreds of people were playing games, exercising, visiting, eating- just enjoying a beautifully designed and planted green space. Whether you are a visitor or resident, this is a convenient location to relax and interact.
