The building alone is worth the trip to the Kimbell ... and the gift store as well. But this gem of a museum has a small, excellent collection of art that is worth your while. The current exhibit (summer 09) is definitely "interesting" -- taking art pieces to film. Don't let that fool you. This place is the real thing... more
This is not a very large museum and it's a easy and not so cumbersome excursion. I was evry impressed with the Impressionist art exhibit on loan from Chicago. This isn't a large museum, but the pieces they have are of very high quality. And pay attention to the building itself, it's a masterwork by Louis Kahn.
