This zoo has great enclosures and a great variety of animals. The zoo is well maintained and very clean. It is nice that they offer a picnic area where you can bring a sack lunch. There are also plenty of shady areas to rest when needed. I wouldn't recommend going on 1/2 price day to aviod the crowds and try... More

Liked the price and the atmosphere. Disliked the length of train ride.

We recently got our Zoo season pass. Great attractions, especially the MOLA (Museum of Living Art which features aquatic animals like fish, amphibians, as well as snakes, turtles, etc.) The Texas portion of the park is well done, with a neat wildlife video/presentation, and lots of Tx specific portions about animals here (alligators, to bugs, to everything in between). The... More

This is one of the significant highlights of DFW....Certainly a large and well maintained zoo/ wild life center in my opinion. Their price, now you pay for what you see. An amazing collection of species from the world.....Some of their reptiles and insects are very well maintained in their natural condition. they also have a wide range of volunteer opportunities,... If you have a lot of $ to spend, it's worth it. It IS an amazing zoo, but is usually VERY crowded . The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would NOT go after the end of May or before September since the heat is stifling and the animals don't move in the heat. The special classes the zoo offers... More

I have been to quite a few major city's zoos and this is by far the best, even better than the National Zoo in DC, I just wish we had Pandas! The Texas section is great, especially for those from out-of-state! Just know that they charge and it isn't cheap.

This zoo is green like a forest and thus nice and cool. Almost all animal enclosures have waterfalls, impressive. There is a good route to walk that takes you on nice trails to most enclosures from beginning to end, without much searching. The way back to the parking lot can be walked in one straight line over the "main road"... More

Most of the exhibits are okay but it is nothing to write home about. Probably the best exhibit in this zoo is the MOLA with its various water features and well-appointed enclosures. The elephant exhibit, however, is severely lacking in size and features, especially compared to the Dallas Zoo. Another good thing about this zoo is that it has a... More
