This was a pleasant way to spend to spend a day in Fort Worth. Its a little above average Zoo.

Liked the price and the atmosphere. Disliked the length of train ride.

Excellent layout - shows great concern for the animals.

If you have a lot of $ to spend, it's worth it. It IS an amazing zoo, but is usually VERY crowded . The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I have been to quite a few major city's zoos and this is by far the best, even better than the National Zoo in DC, I just wish we had Pandas! The Texas section is great, especially for those from out-of-state! Just know that they charge and it isn't cheap.

This zoo is green like a forest and thus nice and cool. Almost all animal enclosures have waterfalls, impressive. There is a good route to walk that takes you on nice trails to most enclosures from beginning to end, without much searching.
