It has 2 hangars full of flight ready planes from throughout history, from the beginning, through the wars, to older commercial planes. This Museum has a TON of WWII Planes and other era planes, it's a very big and you can see people working on the planes while walking around, have been going on every trip to Galveston Island State Park. Coolest thing while hanging on the beach was seeing a B-17 flying up and down the coast line. more

I was in Galveston on business when I decided to drop in the Lone Star Flight Museum. What a great place! The museum has two hangars full of WWII-era aircraft, and all are in pristine, flyable condition. Many rare models too. This museum was an unexpected treat.
