We did the non guided walking tour and it was so interesting to walk around and look at how the Mansion was built and see the great craftsmanship.
Very well preserved home. It was neat to see all the fixtures and furnishing. The tour guide was very informed and involved in the tour. I went back and forth between average and very good for this attraction. I decided very good because of the value ($10 pp). I would not recommend for young children.
Well preserved famous old home in Galveston. Tours last about 1.5 hours and are very well done. The price is very reasonable.
The details in the home are beautiful. The tour was very good and learned lots of historical facts about the family and the city of Galveston. There are even old cars in the garage. It is remarkable that the house survived two hurricanes and still looks amazing. Well worth the cost of admission.
The Moodys did very well for themselves and had a lovely home. It's now open for others to see and enjoy. Beautiful and fine detail in this architectural beauty. A few vintage cars are in the garage, where the tour begins. Well worth the time.

Grand old home that has survived two major hurricanes. Was a guided tour and the tour guide knew so much about the property and lots of little tid bits that might be missed otherwise.
A step back in history to see how life was in the early 1900's of Galveston. The detail in house was very interesting. Informative on how Galveston Island has progressed after the storm of 1900 and a great look at the modern conveniences that were available in the early 1900's.
Fantastic museum and excellent tour. Unfortunately they are still repairing some damage from Hurricane Ike so we couldn't see everything. The tour guide reminded me of a no-nonsense school marm but she kept people from touching things and going where they shouldn't! Well worth the tour!
