I got to visit this place as part of a tour through Featherfest, the Galveston Birding & Photography Festival. The tour was very informative and we got to see a lot of Loggerhead sea turtles in open tanks. This place is hidden away and you have to call in advance to get in but when you do you'll realize that once in a while the government finds a good use for our tax dollars. These folks are doing amazing things to save our natural sea animals. The kids will love it.
