I live in Houston and decided to take my two children to Space Center Houston. When we arrived I asked a few space cadets about the best options for preschool age children. They told me the tram ride and the play structure. We took the tram ride only to learn it was over an hour long and off site. After... more

First, this is a must-see in Houston. Plan to spend at least a half-day here. Unless you have young children, I recommend an entire day. As a native Houstonian, I've been here many times and have watched it become more and more kids-oriented and less and less reality-based. Still, you can make the trip more than worth it if you... more

After contacting the Centre we were told that we could enjoy an afternoon at the Centre. We purchased our tickets online to gain a $3 reduction in price per ticket. After trying to find the Centre through all the many roadworks, which did not give us alternative routes to the Centre, we arrived about 1 pm. Once parked $5, we... more

I live in Houston and took a friend to the Space Center. It's a good half-day educational outing. I think I was expecting a little more than what it is. more

We bought our tickets online, and just in time to enjoy their half-price promotion. However, parking was an additional $5. But, before we even got there, we had trouble with the directions. Even our GPS units got confused. There was construction and the needed exit was closed. Fortunately, at the strip center on the corner of I-45 & Space Center... more

This is an excellent oportunity for kids to know about the space quest and Nasa in general. The installations comprehend several attractions, including games for kids and toddlers, spaceship and space station replicas, simulated voyages and expositions of astronaut uniforms, devices and some other gadgets. At the time we went to the Space Center, there were also an exposition about... more

After reading the other reviews, we decided to book the Level 9 tour and were glad we did. The whole thing took about 4.5 hours. They limit it to 12 people and we had two guides, so it really had a nice feel to it. Started with lunch in the "astronaut cafeteria." This appears to be the employee cafeteria for... more

I love Johnson Space Center. My family and I go every spring. Last year, my mom and I took the Level 9 Tour (pricey, yes) but totally worth it! This year, I had read something online about discount coupons at McDonalds. It is the McDonalds right next to the Space Center and the coupons are for half off admission and... more

I've been to the National Air and Space Museum many times and I've been to Kennedy Space Center once. I was actually able to place my hand on the Apollo 17 hatch for the CM. The door is attached to the CM and it is in the open position. There is no plexiglass at all covering the ship. I was... more
