take cercanias train, then after 30 or 45 minutes, you will arrive there, tkt is cheap, maybe 6 euros each way, then take a bus that takes you to the top , near the escorial, it also cost like 1 euro , very nice place

Took the bus from Moncloa bus/metro station - they leave on the hour. It took 1 hour and cost 3.50 euros (single). If you are in Madrid, Spain you should go see the monastery and palace in El Escorial near the mountains. Quick drive from Madrid. In the basement you can see where Kings and Queens are buried in their crypts.

Stark and prisonlike from the outside, the inside is truly palatial and well maintained. Well worth a visit.
