Plaza de Espana in the pueblo is definitely worth a visit. Lovely old buildings line the narrow streets, and the Plaza itself is home to a cute foutain and several good restaurants. Nice if you want to experience a bit of old Spain.

A small square tucked away at the train station end of Arroyo de la Miel. Here you will find a lovely pizzeria, a couple of Spanish bars and English bars too. At the heart of Benalmadena Pueblo, the Plaza Espana has cafes, etc., and well worth while sitting and having a drink or meal.
Lovely square in a lovely village. just a shame the drive to the village is surrounded by eyesores and mostly unfinished apartments
We visited the plaze several times. When there is entertainment from visiting groups it can be a bit difficult to find a seat. The plaza is a sun trap. Prices of food and drink are among the most reasonable in Benalmadena. Try a brandycoffee (a cup of coffee accompanied by a generous measure of brandy) from E1.80
Excellent bars and restaurants in this area and you can access the village church up beautiful meandering village streets. Full of Orange trees and fabulous walks through the White painted village.
good service, food and drink excellent for price, good lunch menu!!!!
What a sq it's the best in benalmadena. Fantastic bars & a good selection of food. Well worth a visit. I have been going for years & will continue to be returning. Only negative note bars rather small inside & at night times in winter this is a slight problem when you have two children & prams.
Took my coffee down and sat on a bench by the fountain each morning. Tranquil. Friendly locals and ex pat's passing by (The Mayors office is in the square!)
This square is home to a very pretty fountain and several restaurants and we spent a pleasant afternoon here, reading and people watching whilst sipping refreshing fresh orange juice.
