This was our first visit to South Padre Island and we drove all over the island, but we still wanted to get out onto the water. The Southern Wave offers a smooth sail on the Laguna Madre, smooth because the catamaran design keeps the ship level at all times. The dredged channel runs along the shore affording passengers the perfect... More

$89 for 2, My husband and I went for a lovely 2 hour Sunset sail on large catamaran in the bay. Was a little crowded on the boat due to the holiday. Food tasty, but sparse for price. BYOB. Music very good, although a little loud. Worth going one time. I would NOT take children as it would make everyone... More

The sunset dinner cruise is a MUST DO we set on the front of the boat on some pillows and the captain put the sail up while a great guitar singer sang the perfect songs to set the mood. We really enjoyed the AWESOME sunset and GREAT dinner. Well worth the time and money. We took the snorkling lunch cruise... More

Great host, pleasent music, superb food (BYOB), gentle cruise, and excellent view of Friday fireworks. The catamaran was a fantastic platform for a relaxing time suitable for all ages. Without a doubt the best value on the island - if you want to relax.

We took the snorkeling cruise on the Southern Wave on our recent trip to South Padre Island and had a fabulous time! We enjoyed the sunshine and the bay breeze while we cruised about 30 minutes to the snorkeling point. While we snorkeled, the crew fixed burgers for lunch. After lunch on the catamaran we had time to head back... More

When we arrived we got bombarded with different trips we could take, it was hard to decide. But for snorkeling we went with Southern Wave. It was a blast! The staff was great, the boat was very nice, it was a catamaran that was in very good condition. We went on the 3 hour tour with lunch. It was all... More

What can I say about Southern Wave, well they have that southern hospitality! The staff was friendly, patient and exprienced in charting the snorkel event. To add the food was very tasty! and included in their fee. This was the first time my family and I went snorkling and we had a great time! Would highly recommend. God Bless, The Colemans

We went on a "snorkel cruise" last year and they did not put the sail up the entire time and the snorkeling was in the grasses in the laguna madre. It was not a sailing trip at all, it was a motoring trip. I think we should have been warned about that ahead of time. We are headed down to... More

We went on their sunset dinner cruise and it was very enjoyable. They had live music on the boat with GREAT grilled shrimp, fajitas, and fresh fruit as well. Very romantic and affordable!
