The museum has plenty of information from Texas History and this area of Texas. So much history happened around the Brenham, Bellville, San Felipe area. Texas Independence was penned, Steven F. Austin stayed in the area... it's just a great place to visit. Spring is a beautiful time in this area as well. You don't want to miss this gem...

She loved it! Everything was an adventure. She was a little young for the museum (at 4), but she dug the farm, it was right up her alley.

Toured with group of 3rd graders on field trip. Tons of history packed in this museum!

Loved how they had set up room scenarios of old houses decorated as they would have been in the 1800s. they haves wonderful collection of old medicinal equipment and Bowie knives.

This neat little museum is out of the way and worth the drive. You see where and how the Republic of Texas started. The building is shaped like a star.
