It is also paid for by Mormon families and the Mormon Church. They do not say this , however when I asked the... More

The Bluff Fort is a must-see for anyone visiting Bluff, Utah. It chronicles and commemorates the trip taken by a wagon train of Mormons coming from Salt Lake to settle in Bluff, Utah. Amazing stories. There are commemorative cabins for the families who were in the original group, and a reconstructed meeting house. You will love it.

Fort Bluff is a recreation of the original town founded by Momon missionaries. It includes a visitors centre and replicas of the town's cabins and church. Each cabin includes information and furniture used by the original familes of the area and you're able to walk around inside the cabins and explore. The couple that runs this attraction were really friendly... More

The fort is well kept and interesting to see. The cemetery at the top of the hill is worth a look too.

We recently visited the Bluff fort during our trip around the southwest USA. The story of the original hole in the rock pioneers is one of courage, determination and sacrifice and it was a privilege to meet some of the descendants who are working on restoring the fort. Certainly a must see at Bluff.

For anyone who has an interest in knowing about the pioneers who settled southeastern Utah, a stop at Old Bluff Fort in Bluff, Utah is an excellent opportunity. The fort is being restored to honor and tell the story of the Hole-in-the-Rock pioneers who spent six months in the challenging red rock canyons and desert to reach their new home... More

As a descendant of the Hole in the Rock pioneers, I was so excited to go see the Bluff Fort. It did not disappoint. So much work has been put into preserving this important piece of history, and you really feel the spirit of the place. Everyone, young and old, should stop by and partake of the atmosphere of this... More
