Make sure you leave early in the morning. When you get to the sign to turn down the 20 mile road it will take you least an hour - you should only travel about 20 miles per hour - gravel road: unless you want to get your vehicle alligned when you get back =) I used the directions given on... More

Our children loved digging for trilobytes at U-Dig Fossils in Delta, UT. We came home with a fairly large number of trilobytes, which the kids proudly showed off to their friends. Many pieces ended up being as good as some on display at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in DC (this quarry is where many of those came from!). Be... More

Finding complete and large size trilobites is very difficult. I took a 4h dig and do not have larger size specimens. Small ones are still fun to discover. It would be nice to get more info on the cleaning process once you get back home with your treasures.

We took our children (6 & 9) to dig trilobites. This place was amazing! We "cracked rocks" for the 4 hour option and only stopped for lunch. We shipped home 4 large flat rate postage boxes full of trilobites. We highly recommend this to everyone we meet!

This place exceeded our expectations, even though our expectations were really high based on other reviews. They are not kidding when they say that you will leave with intact trilobites for sure! In addition to leaving with trilobites, we were treated like royalty while there. What more could a parent want, an educational experience that all of the family loved.

We had a great time splitting rocks and finding fossil trilobites. Our host Bevan was very helpful and showed us where to look and even helped when my wife could not find any right away. The portable restrooms are immaculate! If you go in the summer, wear a hat that ties down, sunscreen and water. It was fun we ended... More

After driving 8 hours to get to Delta, assured by the website and literature that they were open, we arrived at the quarry at 0930 to find it closed and unoccupied. No sign and no explanation. Not surprisingly, cell phones don't work in the middle of the House Range. We were very disappointed. The other commercial quarry up the road... More

My wife and I had been looking forward to our fossil dig for months. By the time we navigated the gravel road ( I think that's what it was ) and found the quarry we were exhausted. The road was terrible and not that well maintained as stated. I drive a truck and the last couple of miles were very... More

My husband is a fossil and rock hound and we enjoyed gathering plenty of trilobites in the four hours we spent at U-Dig. The staff was great and even found a local to show us where the more rare smaller trilobites were in the canyon.

We did the 2 hour dig at U-Dig on 9/11/09. It was hot, hard work and dirty but totally worth it. The brochure says you will find 10 trilobytes in a 4 hour span. My friend and I found twice that number in a 2 hour span. We didn't get a monster speciman but we got some great smaller ones... More
