It is a fantastic resort without long queues. The lodges are outstanding, never seen similar in Europe. The slopes are very well groomed. It is very close north Salt Lake area. So, to me is better than Alta or Park City, and of course much better than Sundance. more
Hands down my favorite ski resort I've ever been too. The mountain itself is spectacular. The runs are phenomenal (I'm an advanced skier, so I can't speak for beginners, but if my memory serves me correctly, I don't think it's the best place to bring a novice). I went to Snowbasin on a Monday in mid-December, 2008. It is about a 30 minute drive from Layton/Ogden, Utah. The lodge is extremely nice at the snow park. Now there is another reason to move back to Ogden!!! 25 minutes from Hill AFB through Weber Canyon on the interstate and up Trapper's Loop Hwy and you are there on the back side of Mt. Ogden. The roads are new and when you get there you park and walk to the lift. Three(!) gondolas take you to the top... more
