If you're a history junkie, or you like pretty views, or you're just in the area, this is worth seeing. You gotta see it. The view from the top is inexpensive and awesome. The surrounding statues and their plaques provide a little-known insight into tiny Vermont's contribution to the fight for our independence. We really enjoyed visiting the monument. The drive up to it takes you by some of the homes from the 1700's and 1800's. The view from the top is astounding. The elevator operator was very knowedgeable regarding the history of the area. The gift shop was worth visiting. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. more
My daughters really enjoyed the monument as did I. Absolutely beautiful state. I can see why its called the Green mountain state. two thumbs up more
