Love driving thru it . . . the river running thru is beautiful all times of year!
Not near water (swimming), but park is immaculate. Sites close to route 4 are loud at all hours: motorcycles, trucks, as this is main east/west road in VT. But you can get very woodsy in some sites. Tends to be uncontrolled after hours, can get rowdy.
The walk at Queechee (You might call it a little hike) is divided into separate parts, both starting from the Visitors' Center.
