Great staff and interesting shows. I love birds and there were many kept there and lots of interesting facts about them as well.

We stopped off here to see the raptor talk and were shown a couple of stunning birds. The presenter was very patient in answering all the kids and adults questions. They have maybe 20 raptors there that have been rescued and cannot survive in the wild, they are well housed and interesting to see. We went on a trail down... More

This place is nicely done. Kind of small. You cannot beat the view of the birds. I would go again.

Attended raptor presentation, great for kids, and permanent raptor displays, excellent viewing. Close to Killington and Rutland. Busy in summer as camp attraction. Helpful, friendly staff!

We wanted to see the natural beauty of the Quechee Gorge, which is lovely, but we literally stumbled upon the nearby Nature Center while hiking around the area. VINS rescues and rehabilitates injured raptors, and offers fascinating presentations about its birds. In addition, they have well marked easy trails for those who want to walk down to the water rather... More

We were driving through Vermont and as my husband is a bird lover, we saw this place and made an impromptu stop. It's terrific. They have lots of shows all day, so basically whenever you arrive you have a good likelihood of being there for one of their short, interesting little educational shows where they bring out some of their... we enjoyed VINS, the raptor center in quechee, vt. it was interesting and we learned a lot about these fascinating birds. there are about 10 birds to view in large cages, like a zoo. there is a volunteer who puts on a 1/2 hour "show," explaining the birds and the center. there is a rehab center but we couldn't see... For years I have been aware of the Vermont Institute of Natural Science or VINS and always wanted to visit. Years ago I knew of it a the Raptor Rehab Center. This past Saturday I finally took the time to drive the 95 miles from Southern NH up to Quechee, VT to visit. If you are into birds of prey... More
